Cycloid, a Paris, France-based provider of a sustainable engineering platform, raised €5M in Series A funding.

The company intends to use the funds to extend its position in Europe, and expand into North America.
Founded in 2015 by Benjamin Brial, Cycloid is a provider of a sustainable platform delivering change through the use of resources and the ability to establish a culture of digital sobriety, both financial and environmental, that flows through an organization. Its self-service portal optimizes the integration of platform engineering practices to alleviate the cognitive load on IT teams through the creation of reusable developer self-service flows that abstract away complex DevOps processes. Cycloid’s services enable users to interact with DevOps and cloud automation tools without requiring them to become technical experts and brings repeatable FinOps and GreenOps practices that ensure cloud resources can be managed more efficiently to minimize environmental impact. With embedded cloud cost and carbon footprint tools embedded within the platform, the system delivers a holistic view of cloud consumption and automation processes across multiple cloud environments.
The company counts major organizations such as CMA-CGM, Alchemy, Amenetiz and Warner Bros as customers, in addition to partnering with systems integrators/ managed service providers such as Accenture, Capgemini, Orange Business, Sopra Steria, and Teamwork Arrow. Cycloid recently signed a strategic partnership with cloudXcelerate, the DACH-based services provider to bring its platform to businesses challenged with cloud migration problems in the region.
