Senior Engagement Marketing Manager

About the opportunity

As a bona fide leader, you shall lead, coach and support the Engagement Marketing team in the development and implementation of marketing communications strategies, for the purpose of achieving the targets and objectives set by the Company for its promotion and the brands it carries.

Marketing requirements include online and offline marketing activations including client engagement, events and promotions with various partners to drive traffic and sales to the boutiques.

The key responsibilities are

  • Generate and execute new marketing initiatives across multiple channels and platforms for retail and exclusive brands, to meet marketing and commercial objectives
  • Collaborate closely with Brand partners and various external partners to plan and execution of Client Engagement, Public Relations and Visual Merchandising
  • Develop comprehensive mid to long range corporate branding objectives and strategies aligned with The Hour Glass’ vision of enriching lives by advancing watch culture
  • Establish key performance targets and provide regular assessments for all reporting team members
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Engagement Marketing team
  • Develop annual engagement marketing budgets with the Engagement Marketing team
  • Lead and manage marketing expenses and budget for exclusive brands and key retail brands
  • Define, propose and implement omnichannel media plans (offline and online)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as external partners to conceptualise, plan and execute client engagement programmes involving events and personalized experiences
  • Engage with editors and journalists to achieve our Public Relations objectives
  • Maintain a keen understanding of clients to develop targeted marketing strategies
  • Interface with retail and exclusive brand partners to develop EM initiatives
  • Support retail operations team on execution of clienteling initiatives
  • Provide accurate details as required for administrative and finance processing, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures

The type of candidate we are seeking

  • At least 5 to 7 years of Marketing / Events Management experience in a retail brand, preferably from the luxury industry
  • Possess a Degree in Marketing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office – Advanced PowerPoint Presentation Skills, Intermediate Excel skills
  • Savvy with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Business Intelligence (BI) systems
  • Independent, creative thinker and solutions provider who thrives in a demanding fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and can adapt swiftly to changing goals and objectives
  • Disciplined, highly analytical and results-oriented
  • Possess business acumen and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven capability to lead a large team in conceiving and launching new marketing initiatives across multiple channels and platforms and proven ability to collaborate with an international team of marketing professionals across the different affiliates within the Group
  • Adept in formulating marketing communication strategies that drive corporate brand awareness amongst key communities both online and offline; assist the retail teams to generate leads and prospects and assist with achieving our team’s sales objective
  • Strong understanding of consumer behaviour in Singapore and the region, preferably in the luxury sector. Maintain an appreciation of the prevailing popular culture that influences Gen Y and Gen Z and have a true understanding of what inspires and motivates their decision-making process
  • Have a passion to continue to expand own knowledge, learn new skills and have an interest outside of work. Extra points for being a watch geek
