Explore the Ocean’s Depth With the Ulysse Nardin Diver Atoll

Ulysse Nardin is almost synonymous with the ocean and all things to do with marine life. The Swiss watchmaker has long been an ally to the aquatics with certain chronometers drawing direct inspiration and guidance. And its latest watch is all about exploring the deepest depths with the Ulysse Nardin Diver Atoll.

As there are only 100 pieces available, the Diver Atoll is very much in tune with the Manufacture’s goal of sustainability when it comes to the ocean. There is no better way to show your love for the deep than with the unique dial on the Diver Atoll, bringing a different look altogether.

A Gemstone worthy of the Sea

Ulysse Nardin Diver Atoll
The Ulysse Nardin Diver Atoll features a chrysocolla dial in a cyan-blue hue.

What sets the Ulysse Nardin Diver Atoll apart from the rest of the collection is its chrysocolla dial. The use of the gemstone dates back to the days of antiquity as it has long been used in various forms including jewellery. The stone-cut gemstone is known for its ability to bring harmony and tranquillity into your domain while also promoting clarity and calmness.

That is what exudes from the Diver Atoll as the dial is bathed in a cyan-blue hue splashed together with streaks of earthy browns and blacks. Much like how a thalassophile is when in the ocean, chrysocolla is used as a form of relaxation and for meditation, which is meant to keep one calm and at ease.

The imagery that conjures from the Diver Atoll bears a resemblance to how the ocean would look amidst a plethora of lagoons, coral reefs, and archipelago. What makes the watch unique is due to the pattern of the chrysocolla dial; as no two gemstones are ever the same, this also means that no two watches are ever the same as well. This ensures that each piece is distinctive in its own right.

What’s Within

Ulysse Nardin Diver Atoll
The stainless-steel case is made out of 80% recycled material.

Another talking point of the Ulysse Nardin Diver Atoll would have to be the ring of diamonds around the uni-directional rotating bezel. There’s a total of 40 diamonds resting on the bezel while a further 11 sits hour indexes on the dial, giving you 0.92 carats on the wrist.

Surrounding it is the stainless-steel case with polished and satin-brushed finishes, which 80% of the steel was recycled. This is part of the Manufacture’s continuous commitment towards sustainability, something that is ever-present in its Diver collection of watches.

The Diver Atoll is also fitted with the UN-816 calibre self-winding movement, which can be found on numerous other watches from the same collection, like the Diver Lemon Shark. The UN-816 also comes with a date that can be seen at 6 o’clock on the dial, right below the diamond. There is also an escapement wheel and anchor made out of silicon technology, which is tucked behind the wind rose-engraved case back.

It also wouldn’t be a diving watch with nods towards the deep blue sea if it didn’t have 300 m of water resistance to go with its 42-hour power reserve.

There are only 100 pieces of the Ulysse Nardin Diver Atoll available. Do not hesitate to contact us for any enquiries; we will be more than thrilled to assist you.
